It's Christmas! and It's good to be home at Christmas :)

Hi everyone!!

Really I don't want to pass the December with no Christmas decoration ho..ho..ho..
At this moment I must prepare everything to going to my mother home for Christmas.
as I am the only one daughter of my parents, they always love if during the holiday we can get at home together and have a brilliant family time.. nice!
so, what the matter happened to me I love to going home for Christmas holiday ..
This year I want to give my parents  simple gift but make it with love ;)
but... I just have an usable wooden piece and some news paper with Christmas news .. okay, I have my Little Tilda, she will help me to make a decoration :)

here the outcome:
I wrapped the wooden piece with the news paper randomly using mod podge glue, than put it on some white gesso, distress some edge with walnut stain then starting decorate it :)

I used lot of decorations that describe my childhood, hhm... can't wait to eat the cake when I smell the cinnamon .. he he he

My image treats with clear embossing powder and using utee for second embossing part for having more thickness.

That's my decoration, and I wish my parent love this and will place it on their room :)

Dreaming of frosty Christmas on the sunny island

Good day sweet peeps!
glad that you are back to visit my blog again :)

Today I wanna share with you about  my mini layout ;)
It has the size 6" x 6" but hopefully it fits with my frame ..
A little story behind my creation  that I love to tell to you all trough that ;
Although I live in a country that not have Christmas celebration as big as other celebration but for me I am so exited to waiting the Christmas eve .., we have no snow nor a winter day .. we only have two seasons here, dry and rainy.. so on Christmas day we only get the rain, sometimes a heavy rain on the night but still have the sunshine on the noon..
I draw the Christmas here like this :

I use : Starlight Tilda from Merry little Christmas 2010 ; Tag and Log are from Magnolia too

More closer for the bottom right corner ; I put much flowers and any decoration from DooHickey ; Cheese cloth I've got from LLC store.

on the top left corner, I am playing with washi tape, glossing the text and sprayed weather wood distress marker with spritzer tool then putting some gesso.

did you mention a piece of newspaper on her back ? that paper glued on a piece of card stock with mod podge and painting with white gesso randomly.

I am so glad that my mini layout just fit on my mini frame .. so I have a Christmas decoration with a sunny feel :)
With my Starlight Tilda this time, I would love to join some challenges :
Magnolialicious Challenge - Dreaming of Christmas
Totally Tilda - Tilda sitting pretty
Tilda's Town - Celebrate the Christmas
DOC - So this is Christmas
Paperpaly - Christmas is coming

That's all my sharing today,  Thank you so much for your visiting here..
Love ya!

The fabulous background is Old Swedish Church - Christmas Story 2012 .

I painted her and everything with Distress ink, and put some glossy accent .

I love string and gems, and one of my fave was May art cream string , the background paint with gesso, sprayed with mist and put on there some crackle paint.

Paper I used from Bo Bunny and I picked roses according the colors too .

Now day, I love to use a pieces of news paper, glue it with mod podge and white gesso.

I just wait for my Snow paint .. but Mr. Postman so naughty... he doesn't come already, lucky I still have my Snow marker .. ho ho ho

The first day of December

Hello my dear friends ..

Time flies so fast, and today we are having the first day of December :)
yes .. something special on this month beside my birthday LoL
There are the most blessed day; Christmas ..., my second son's birthday and many more on my private list ;)

I had hear a day called Santa Lucia on this 13rd of December , this date is very sacred a date marking the longest and darkest day of the year , the Scandinavian people believe that Santa Lucia will come wearing a crown of candles to illuminate and give hope to anyone. "Santa Lucia is a celebration of life, friendship, happiness, and hope,"
oh I love to read this..
so, because I have a very adorable Santa Lucia Tilda, so I made this one for having celebrate it together ..
that I believe, a friendship, happiness and hope is a universal matter ;)

here my simple design ;

I took the pictures with a candle light, I love how Tilda turn so calm and beauty .. she is adorable and I am so lucky to have her ;)
here is the natural picture with day light;

Corner stamp are from Magnolia , the gorgeous paper comes from the newest Christmas story edition called Winter Angel. Silver poinsettias are from Prima, leaves cutting with Doohickey, Webster ribbon, wire and pearl string are from my own stash.
Hope you will like my simple on this time :)

Thank you so much for stopping on my blog today, I will have another news so please stay tune ..

Love,
Yulis
